SUMMARY


So, The Great Gatsby is astory told by Nickk Carraway. He comes from the Midwest to New-York. He settles in the neighborhood with a mysterious, well-known for it`s partying millionaire Jay Gatsby, and on the opposite shore of the bay live his cousin Daisy and her husband, Tom Buchanan. So Nick is involved in the exciting world of the rich - their illusions of love and deceit. He becomes a witness of what is happening in this world and writes a story of impossible love, eternal dreams and the human tragedy.

The Great Gatsby is a very fantastical novel! I want to continue reading again and again. Its plot is easy to understand.
The main characters of this novel are:
1)Nick Carraway – a Yale graduate originating from the Midwest, a World War I veteran, and, at the start of the plot, a newly arrived resident of West Egg, who is aged 29 (later 30). He also serves as the first-person narrator of the novel. He is Gatsby's next-door neighbor and a bond salesman.
2)Jay Gatsby – a young, mysterious millionaire with shady business connections, originally from North Dakota.
3)Daisy Fay Buchanan – an attractive and effervescent and self-absorbed young lady. She is Nick's second cousin, and the wife of Tom Buchanan.
4)Thomas Buchanan – a millionaire who lives on East Egg, and Daisy's husband.
5)Jordan Baker – Daisy Buchanan's long-time friend. She is Athlete-golfer.
